The wait is almost over as Manchester band, Palava are set to release their new EP, Just Look Into My Eyes.
During the midst of the pandemic, the Manchester quartet have teased us with their intriguing style of music by perfectly balancing contrasting styles of rock and making them compliment each other. The titular single, Just Look Into My Eyes launches you straight into their world with that impeccably addictive riff that you certainly won’t forget in a hurry. Yesterday Is Calling, does a subtle nod to Mancunian influences but is also a pep talk to the listener and again, with a heavy riff behind it, feels like a push of encouragement. But it’s not just about hard guitars and rock and roll. Rainy Day will undoubtedly bring out the romantic in you with the sweet, echoey tones, melodic vocals and heartfelt lyrics. It’s got to be my favourite on the EP. We are then concluded with the delightful, feel-good Mr Blue with a catchy chorus and a signature Palava-style guitar solo.
Lead vocalist and guitarist, Rob Whitehead says “We started recording this EP back in lockdown 2020 when things started to pick up again. We wanted to create something that shows a wide range of our sound. We recorded this with Dean Glover at Vibe recording studio in Cheetham Hill. Dean has helped us a lot over the years and is a great producer. Always brings out the best of us. We’ve had a good response from the last two singles and can’t wait for everyone to hear the whole EP. It feels good to get this one out into the world”
Just Look Into My Eyes is released today, Friday 29th July, just in time for their gig at Manchester’s Lion’s Den and you won’t want to miss it!
