Lucy & The Caterpillar – Coming Back Home
After a brief hiatus and relocation to Manchester, Lucy & The Caterpillar stunned us with the beautifully heartfelt ‘Coming Back Home’. It’s the first single taken from the new EP and showcases Lucy’s beautiful vocal tone perfectly. Catch the EP launch this Sunday (March 8th 2015) at The Castle Hotel in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Ava Luna – Coat of Shellac
The new track from this Brooklyn band is riddled with cool. ‘Coat of Shellac‘ is so smooth, so slick that it becomes a perfect circle that feels impossible to take off repeat. The track has a mind of it’s own, but it’s just the snippet of what we can expect from the bands up coming album ‘Infinite House’ which makes it all the more exciting.
Orlando Seale and the Swell – Filthy Hope
The London collective unveil an epic masterpiece of melancholy and despair, Filthy Hope. It’s dramatic fusion of pop and orchestra that steals the heart for the length of the song. They release the track later this month as a double A-side single and mark it with two London shows at The Seabright Arms, redounded for their remarkable and vibrant live shows it wont be worth missing.
Wand – Reaper Invert
Bad mood? Need a nice tall glass of music to go with that? Gloomy garage rock tune ‘Reaper Invert’ by Los Angeles band Wand has everything you’re looking for, I promise. An angsty droneing spiral into madness filled with so many little quirks you notices something new every time. A master class in cool.
Demob Happy – Young & Numb
Brighton’s finest thrashers unveil their gruesome video for Young & Numb with a classic horror movie vibe. The eerie riffs and destructive drums top this killer tune that smashes through the walls and slinks off as if nothing happened. With a huge U.K. tour on the way this track just backs up what we already know, Demob Happy are ready to rule 2015.
